Go as a river was one of my favorite books from last year. I met the author at a literary conference and was dazzled by her story of publishing her first novel at midlife. I’ve gifted this book and was so glad to see it on your list. I've got God of the woods on hold at the library.

I particularly liked the “setting as character” elements of Colorado. How lucky you got to meet the author!!

Perfect timing. My library-based book club is discussing my pick Go As a River tomorrow. It will be fun to offer up your list of other nature infused novels. I might suggest to you another novel steeped in nature...Lauren Groff's The Vaster Wilds.

We actually started listening to it on our road trip last week, but I felt like it would be better as a read experience. Your endorsement means a lot!

You are welcome. I highlighted and copied onto notecards line after beautiful line.

FYI, right now I’m working my way through “Once There Were Wolves.” It’s not bad, but not as good as “Wild Dark Country.”
