Outdoor Book Club Is Evolving—Here’s How to Be Part of What’s Next
Support a woman-powered, blind-veteran-led creative endeavor built on stories, trails, and transformation.
Hey there, Heroine—
Come August, Outdoor Book Club is getting a quiet but meaningful refresh.
Not a rebrand. Not a pivot. But a deepening—like when you step off the well-trodden path and find yourself in a clearing you didn’t know you were looking for.
It’s a deeper invitation. A clearer trail. A new kind of circle—one that gathers book lovers, trail seekers, and brave women in the midst of becoming.
And yes, it comes with a (very small) price tag: $5/month.
Here’s why.
I resisted this for a long time.
I didn’t want Outdoor Book Club to feel like homework. I didn’t want to lose the magic that happens when women come together—around a story, on a trail, or in the in-between moments when someone passes you a snack or admits they cried at that one line in the book.
But then I read Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy—and I couldn’t shut up about it.
I didn’t want to shut up about it.
And I realized: sometimes, it’s even more magical when we’re all reading the same book. When our hearts are threaded together by a single narrative, carried across different states, time zones, and walks of life.
So here’s what’s next.
Starting in August (I’ll be in Italy most of July), I’m introducing a new monthly reading experience for paid members. Think of it as your trail map to deeper connection—not just with the stories we read, but with the questions we’re living.
You can view the full (tentative) reading calendar here: 2025 OBC Reading List.
No pressure, no gold stars. Just a shared rhythm. A chance to go deeper, together.
For $6/month, Paid Members will get:
A cozy, members-only live book discussion on Zoom, the last Thursday of every month at 6pm EST. (Come in your slippers. Bring wine or tea.)
Occasional audio notes and reflections (think: trail thoughts, book tangents, behind-the-scenes ramblings)
Quartly in-person meetups for local heroines (aka anyone lucky enough to live in West Michigan)
First dibs on upcoming OBC trips and workshops
And starting in fall: seasonal trail prompts inspired by our monthly reads (yes, you can absolutely do them solo, in yoga pants, with a latte)
You don’t have to read every book.
You don’t have to hike up a mountain.
You just have to show up—with your curiosity, your dog-eared paperback (or Kindle), and maybe a snack to share.
I’m calling it the Outdoor Book Club Premium Circle, and you can join right here:
Why this matters.
Because something beautiful happens when women come together—with their questions, their stories, and their scuffed-up hiking boots.
Because community shouldn’t require perfection or performance.
Because you deserve a space where you don’t have to go far to go deep.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for hiking alongside me—virtually, on the trail, or in the pages of a good book.
And thank you for supporting this creative labor of love.
Wishing you wonder and wildness,
Jill Hinton Wolfe

P.S. Can’t swing $6/month right now? Totally okay. Just hit reply and let me know—I’ll make sure you’re included.
