Each fall, the charming Northern Michigan town of Harbor Springs transforms into a literary wonderland—and we’ll be there for every lanyard-swinging, poetry-reading, author-gushing moment.

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book brings together nationally published authors and book lovers from across the country for a weekend packed with readings, writing workshops, author panels, and community magic. It’s one of our favorite bookish adventures of the year, and we’d love for you to join us.

📝 Pro tip: Registration sells out fast. Like, record-breaking fast. Some ticketed events filled within hours last year—so be sure to subscribe to the Festival’s official newsletter and set an alert on your calendar when registration opens (July 17, 2025). Trust us, your future self will thank you.

🏕 Lodging + Logistics:

You’ll make your own lodging arrangements (plenty of hotels, motels, and Airbnbs nearby), and camping at Petoskey State Park is also a solid option if you’re feeling outdoorsy. We’ll be organizing a few casual meetups—think group hikes, dinner outings, and maybe even a campfire or two. Once we get a headcount, we’ll send out details so you can plan to join in (or just swing by and say hi).
