Day 6: Pause for the Wild’s Greatest Show
Let the sunrise or sunset take your breath away.
Heroine, nature’s most timeless masterpiece is waiting for you today.
Your prompt for Day 6:
Watch a sunrise or sunset. Reflect on how it makes you feel.
There’s something magical about those fleeting moments when the sky transforms—when colors spill across the horizon and the world seems to hold its breath. Maybe it fills you with gratitude or reminds you that even endings can be beautiful beginnings.
As you watch, let yourself pause. Let the wild remind you of its rhythm, and reflect: What part of your own life feels like a sunrise? What feels like a sunset?
Share your thoughts in the comments or on Substack Notes, and tag your reflections with #LoveTheWild. Whether it’s a photo, a description, or a few words about what the moment meant to you, I’d love to see your perspective.
Here’s to celebrating the wild’s artistry,
Jill

Yesterday was my sunrise day (posted in Notes); today, I was out of the house for a doctor’s appointment before the sun was even thinking about getting up.
After I was diagnosed with my eye condition, I made a promise to myself: I would try to see as many sunrises and sunsets as possible. I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit, but still—few things are as awe-inspiring as standing on the shore of Lake Michigan on a summer night, watching the sun sink below the horizon.
I love knowing that up and down the coast, strangers are watching the same sunset, soaking in the same moment. It always makes me feel deeply connected—to nature, to people, to something bigger than myself.
