Join us in scenic Charlevoix for a weekend on Lake Michigan at Fisherman’s Island State Forest Campground! June 27-29
Beach walks, rock hounding, miles of hiking trails, sitting around the campfire talking about books… does it get any better?
This is a rustic campground with privies, water pumps, and space for small trailers, or tents, but no power hook ups. We have reserved sites 47 & 48 in the south campground and encourage you to make your own reservations at nearby sites. (Each site allows up to two vehicles and six people.) Use this link to make reservations through the Michigan DNR. As of Feb. 4, there were 11 camp sites available in the direct vicinity of the two we have already reserved. While these sites are not right on the beach, we will have beach access within walking distance, and there are several public parking areas if you prefer to drive.
This event is family-friendly, so feel free to bring your significant other, your kids, your girlfriends…. Pets are welcome, too, but park leash rules must be followed.
This is one of my favorite campgrounds. I will be on my own adventure out west and unable to make it ☹️
